Watkins Glen State Park has 19 waterfalls and we planned to see them all until it became clear that to do so we would either have to be 20 years old or gazelles. We planned to walk The Gorge Trail along Glen Creek but we entered into the park by what turned out to be the wrong entrance. No one told us our intended route was almost two miles and over 800 stone steps. I had just claimed 40 stone steps and dreaded the idea of 760 more.
